Yesterday I was priviledged to shoot another amazing wedding with Rob at RJT Pictures. What an awesome experience! My first Greek wedding! As soon as I arrived at Nick’s home I felt the immediate comfort of being surrounded by a tight knit, loving family. I knew there would be plenty of goosebumps and tears to come.

A few of my favorites from Mike & Kim’s wedding. Enjoy!

Yesterday I met the Corb’s at Silver Sands State Park in Milford, CT. It was a bit chilly and we had to work quickly - but we had no rain! I had been following the weather all week, and normally if it rains we would reschedule for a nicer day, but all the Corbs were only in town together for a few days, and rescheduling was not an option. Thank goodness the weather cooperated and we were able to get some nice family portraits.

I asked the two brothers to kiss their sister on the cheek, and got quite a reaction:

Vicki’s Favorite from the day:

It was so beautiful out today, even I had to get out for a bit and get some vitamin D. Spring is my favorite time of year, no doubt. All 3 of our cats are indoor cats, although Arthur is desperate to go outdoors all the time. He likes to sit by the door all day and cry to go outside. As long as we have had him, he has stayed indoors - although we adopted him for the SF SPCA a few years back, and who knows what his previous home was like. Since it was so nice today, i decided to sit outside in the sun with Arthur. He really appreciated it ; )

Although, Mocha started to cry at the door to come out too. She doesn’t like being very far from me….typical burmese. (Which is what Arthur is looking at in the above picture).

Mocha wasn’t interested in hanging in the sun with us. She wouldn’t sunbathe! What kind of cat is that? Oy.

Well, that was my interesting afternoon. Just thought I would share.

Yesterday was such a lovely day - perfect weather, and I had the honor of shooting Mike and Kim’s wedding! These two are so genuinely in love, it was hard for me to hold back the tears at a few points during the day. I also was lucky to have Rob from RJT Pictures second shooting for me. We had so much fun! Congratulations Mike & Kim!

We started the day at the salon getting hair done:

Then it was time to put on the dress:

I was shooting some formals of the flowergirls and they had so much energy I had them jump up and down to get out the “sillys”:

Last weekend I had the pleasure of second shooting for Rob at RJT Pictures. I had a blast, as always, spending the day with Rob, and his new assistant/wife-extraordinaire - Kathleen. Laura and Chris are an adorable couple - with beaming smiles and contagious, joyful energy! I love, love, love being around such amazingly sweet couples.

The joys of being in love. Yes, I have fallen hard…I am absolutely head-over-heels in love with my new lens! Canon EF 85mm F/1.8. It is an amazing piece of equipment - and an awesome addition to my camera bag. Canon rocks! I went out shooting for about 30 minutes yesterday in the afternoon light. Pretty sweet, huh? It’s tack sharp.

I love this one - big brother sitting on the bike texting friends while little brother is saying “get off my darn bike!”

Had a fun impromptu photo session with Karianne the other day. Thought I would share some of the images.
There was some amazing light!! I am loving this weather. Oh yeah, keep in mind that Karianne is 12 years old. Isn’t she gorgeous?

This one is my absolute favorite:

On Sunday I went to Michele’s parents house to shoot Michele & Valon’s engagement session. Michele requested to do the shoot here, the same place where the wedding will be next month. I thought to myself “why wouldn’t they pick somewhere different than where they are getting married?”. When I arrived there with my assistant Alex, it was soon very clear! Besides the gorgeous house, there is over 20 acres of beautifulness! See for yourself.

We started off at the barn:

There is a long walking trail into the woods, leading to this spot - a torn down building which used to be a pig house!

Aren’t they a beautiful couple? I had so much fun with you two - can’t wait until the wedding!

I became Mrs. Souza! I can’t believe it has been 2 years already. So many changes….well, I put together a little slideshow from our wedding day. Thought you all would enjoy seeing me on the other side of the camera.

Happy 41st anniversary to my parents~happy birthday to my sister-in-law, Lauren~and happy birthday to my friend Wendy!
We chose a special day to get married ; )
